Cookie Policy

Last updated: 9 September 2026

This policy explains how YoungPlanet uses cookies on the website and similar technologies in the YoungPlanet app.

What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. Mobile apps can use similar technologies, including local storage, device identifiers and tracked links.

The YoungPlanet website

The website stores your cookie-banner choice in local storage so that it does not ask you on every visit. This is used only to remember whether you accepted or declined. This is essential and set regardless of your choice.

If you accept cookies, the website loads Google Analytics to understand how the site is used so we can improve it. These analytics cookies (for example _ga and _ga_*) are only set after you accept, and are not loaded if you decline or ignore the banner. Google processes this data as described in Google's privacy policy. We do not load advertising trackers.

Some discount offers may include a tracked affiliate link. If you choose affiliate tracking and later make a qualifying purchase, the affiliate network can report that purchase so YoungPlanet may receive a commission. This does not add to the price you pay.

Where consent is required, the app asks before using a tracked link. You can decline without losing membership or access to the offer. A direct retailer link is used where available.

The retailer, app store or other service you open from YoungPlanet may use its own cookies or similar technologies under its own privacy and cookie policies.

Managing your choices

You can reset the website choice by clearing site data for youngplanet.com in your browser. In the app, open Your Preferences to review your affiliate-link choice. Device and browser settings may provide additional controls.

For more detail on how we handle your information, see our Privacy Notice.
